Description
This is a heavy-duty pendulum broadcast spreader with a plastic hopper for use on a three-point hitch. The pendulum throw action delivers long-range distribution. The spreading quantity is precisely controlled by stainless steel dousing plates. The capacity is 925lb.
Pendulum-action spreaders do not have a rotating impeller. They have a tube that sticks out horizontally behind the spreader and oscillates from side to side in a horizontal plane. Fertilizer is metered into the front of the tube using conventional metering ports and slung out the end of the tube as the tube oscillates. A deflector on the end of the tube helps scatter the granules.
A pendulum-action spreader is usually the best tractor-mounted option for orchards, vineyards, turf, and higher-value crops. It can do everything a rotary spreader can with a more uniform spread pattern.
